"For me, being a psychiatrist is
a calling. I am passionate about what I do."

Based on precise diagnosis (DSM5/ICD10), Dr. Henricks sets up comprehensive treatment plans with individuals, and if appropriate, families, using evidence-based psychopharmacological treatments in collaboration with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. Her work emphasizes interpersonal effectiveness and family systems-based therapy. Her individualized treatment plan always includes a humanistic emphasis with a goal of returning to an approved level of performance and productivity, interpersonal effectiveness, and underlined family communication issues.

Dr. Henricks trained in Adult psychiatry at the McGill University Department of Psychiatry in Montreal, Canada, followed by a fellowship program at New York University Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department. She is currently a respected faculty member at New York University Medical Center. With this training and background in child development and pathology, and substance abuse, Dr. Henricks can diagnose conditions in adolescents, young adults, and older adults,  that would otherwise be missed. More than 50 percent of Dr. Henricks's patients are over the age of 30.

Over the years, Dr.Henricks developed holistic community-based programs using arts, music, educational, and vocational training integrated with health, mental health, and addiction treatment.
